This website does not use cookies and we do not run analytics on visitors.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, give you a quote, arrange collection, and complete the transaction. We may also retain records to meet our tax and waste compliance obligations.
The lawful bases for processing are performance of a contract (when we agree to collect and pay for material), legitimate interest (responding to enquiries about our services), and legal obligation (tax and waste compliance records).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing.
We share it only with:
- Our partners and service providers who help us deliver the service (for example, the form tool that processes website submissions on our behalf)
- HMRC, the Environment Agency and other authorities where required by UK law
How long we keep it
- Active customer records: the duration of our trading relationship plus six years (HMRC requirement)
- Waste transfer records: minimum two years (Environment Agency requirement)
- Enquiries that don't proceed: up to twelve months
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected, request deletion (subject to our legal obligations), restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any right, email hello@upvcscrap.com. We respond within one calendar month.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. If we can't resolve it, you can complain to the UK regulator:
